A commercial film recording the “birth” of a volcano in Mexico near the city of Uruapan, about 200 miles west of Mexico City. The volcano Paricutin erupted from 1943 to 1952, destroying the town of San Juan Parangaricutiro and covering vast farmlands in the region.
