Groundbreaking for Truman Library

Former President Harry S. Truman and his daughter, Margaret, breaking ground at the site of the future Truman Library at Slover Park in Independence, Missouri. The Independence Lions Club donated the gold-plated shovel used for the groundbreaking. Members of Local 34 of the American Federation of Musicians played at the event.
