Tuesday, February 13, 2024 - 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CDT

 

2:00 pm Commemoration in the auditorium, followed by a wreath laying at her gravesite. Harry S. Truman impersonator John Pritchard will share his grandfather's account of his time as President Truman's security detail. Douglas J. Richardson of the Truman Home will show exclusive photos and information about the former First Lady Bess Wallace Truman.

3:30 pm Refreshments provided by the Independence Pioneers Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. 100 cupcakes will be provided by the Truman Library in commemoration of First Daughter Margaret Truman Daniel's 100th birthday on February 17.
