The papers of Margaret Truman Daniel and E. Clifton Daniel include materials related to their personal lives and careers. The papers include appointment diaries, correspondence, diaries, financial records, manuscripts, news clippings, photographs, press notices, printed materials, scrapbooks, speeches, and commemorative stamps. The papers are arranged alphabetically in a single series, a Subject File. The files that only relate to E. Clifton Daniel have his name included in the folder title.

The appointment diaries, diaries and scrapbooks are primarily from 1945-1953 during the Truman administration and pertain to Margaret Truman's appointments, activities and trips. The series also include concert schedules, press releases, programs and scripts related to Margaret Truman's career. Margaret Truman's correspondence includes letters to her parents, Harry S. Truman and Bess Truman, other family members and individuals such as George Bush, Jimmy Carter, Winston Churchill, Bill Clinton, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Betty and Gerald Ford, Lady Bird and Lyndon B.
