Description

A map titled "Greater Kansas City." The map shows U.S. and state highways, points of interest, and the 1930 Census numbers of Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas. The other map is titled "Gallup's Official Guide Map of Independence, MO, Sugar Creek, MO, Mt. Washington District." The map shows schools, academies, orphanages and convents, hospitals, police stations, city limits, levees and dikes, roads, bus lines, railways, and an index to car and motor bus lines. A handwritten note reads: "Papers of Senator H.S. Truman. Folder: W.P.B. Priorities-Jan., 1942. Ltr: March 6, 1942." These maps are on the back of M141.
