Description

A French map of Missouri that has been separated from J.A.C. Buchon's "Atlas Geographique, Statistique, Historique et Chronologique des Deux Ameriques et des Iles Adjacentes." The map, titled "Carte Geographique, Statistique et Historique du Missouri," highlights the counties in color and shows towns, forts, rivers, relief, and other details. Text surrounding the map details boundaries, acreage, soil, climate, rivers, lead mines, civil divisions, population, chief towns, religion, education, roads, canals, public lands, commerce, government, and state history. Handwriting on the back reads: "Top, by Miss Conway's door."
