Description

A highway map of Iron County, Missouri. The map shows roads, railroads, airfields, boundary lines, parks, churches, schools, houses, farms, businesses, and other governmental, commercial, historical, and recreational landmarks. The map has been annotated to show the location of a proposed airfield within the Clark National Forest. The population of Ironton and Arcadia and the elevation of Taum Sauk Mountain have been revised. Handwriting on the back reads: "Papers of Senator Harry S. Truman. Folder: War Dept.-Air Corps-Beginning Sept. 1942."
