Dear Nannie & Mattie

Your letter just received. Am glad you and Mattie are enjoying your selves so much. I knew Mat would have a pleasant time. I thank you very much for your invitation for some of us to visit you. Would have been very glad indeed to have accepted hope you will visit us again sometime soon.

Though everything was so quiet here when you did visit us am afraid you'll never come back again. I ___ the weather delightfully cool. Mr. Noland, the children and I went out in the country berrying Sat evening and we got more chiggers than berries. We are almost wild with them don't do anything but Scratch and only got about a gallon of berries don't think I'll go any more especially when I can buy such nice ones for a dollar a crate. I will write to you and Mat in the same letter. Marnie Long has a party tonight so as going to invite you had you been at home. She came over to borrow our fancy lamp but I was so afraid it would get broken that I told her I was afraid you wouldn't be willing for me to loan it. The party is being given to Miss. Turner. It is ___ is reported that Mrs. Bullene & husband (Frank Kim bought is a bigamist and his wife came after him. Mrs. Bullene is so very sick and he has gone to St. Louis to straighten up the unpleasant affair. There is something wrong somewhere. Mrs. Sevall __ has a boy.

A letter came for you from Elbert Smith wishing to know if you were going to accept the School on their terms if so to notify the Board at once. So you had best write him immediately

Miss Nannie if Mat isn't going to visit Miss Lutie, I think she could remain with you a few days longer provided you are as anxious to keep her at the close of the length of time she intended to stay as you were when you wrote. Though she might make you glad twice. I will just inclose Lutie a card in my letter. Hope you will excuse this poorly written letter as I am suffering with one of my attacks of Headache. Jose has been quite sick but is better.

With much love to you all

Sincerely yours,

Friend & Sister, Ella.
