The French Ambassador called at his request to discuss a number of subjects. He took occasion to state that his Government warmly welcomed the President's Inaugural Address concerning Point 4, and would be glad to cooperate fully and to contribute what it could of French technical knowledge. He said his Government considered that Point 4, particularly insofar as it assisted in the development of Africa and other undeveloped areas, would facilitate achievement of the objectives of the Marshall Plan.
