MEMORANDUM OF CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT

I discussed with the President, Mr. Webb's suggestion of getting some able and tough business consultants on European economic problems in order to have the full support of the business community behind requests for funds for European or foreign development. The President was favorably impressed with this suggestion, approved the list of names, suggested by Mr. Webb, and asked that the name of Mr. Dwight Palmer be added for consideration.
