Delaying of talks about Ambassadors
I asked the President whether it would be satisfactory to him to defer further talks about Ambassadors until the end of the week. He said this was wholly acceptable.

The President's Massachusetts Institute of Technology Speech
The President is strongly inclined to cancel this engagement. He is inclined to believe that making this speech the day following Churchill, perhaps on the very day that Bevin arrives in this country, might be undesirable.
The President has asked me to think this over and advise him.
