MEMORANDUM OF CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT

Item No. 1 Review of Scandinavian Policy

The President agrees that his primary interest in suggesting the review was a review of policy toward Sweden. He stresses the importance of not overlooking any possibility of having Sweden drawn more closely into relationships with the West. He is impressed by the importance of Swedish military resistance, and it was primarily this which led him to suggest the review.
