MEMORANDUM OF CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT
Item No. 2 Visit of President Li to Washington
The President is willing, and indeed eager, to see President Li. He would be glad to have a small luncheon for him, but this must be done before the second week in March. He would like this to be a working luncheon and would like me to consider very carefully the people invited. He would like it a small, men's luncheon, probably of five or six, or in that neighborhood, and would like to have serious talk at lunch.
Please have me consulted about the arrangements before anyone is invited, or dates fixed.
