Memorandum of Telephone Conversation -
Secretary Acheson called Secretary Johnson this afternoon and asked if it were possible to arrange for the meeting on the Japanese Peace Treaty within the next two or three days. Mr. Acheson suggested Thursday. Secretary Johnson said that it would be impossible for him to meet with Mr. Acheson on Thursday and he expected to be out of town on Friday and Saturday. He said the first time he would be able to meet with Mr. Acheson would be Monday. Mr. Acheson agreed to this date and we are to call Mr. Johnson\'s office and set a firm meeting. I will take care of this and notify the interested people when it is set.
