MEMORANDUM OF TELEPHONE CONVERSATION
Participants:
Governor Browning, of Tennessee
Mr. Acheson
Governor Browning told the Secretary that he had had an indication that the Secretary might make a speech in Tennessee in the next few days, and the Governor said he hoped it would be around the first of March since the Legislature would still be there at that time
The Secretary said that he had talked with Mr. Evans when he was here and told him that he would look forward to being in Tennessee some time before very long. The Secretary told Governor Browning that he could not be there by the first of March since there was still the Resolution on the Hill to be taken care of, and then he wanted to get away to Arizona for a couple of weeks rest.
The Governor said that they were most anxious to have the Secretary come to Tennessee to give a talk, and the Secretary said he would think about the time and try to give the Governor some idea a little later on.
