DEPARTMENT OF STATE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY

April 4, 1952

S/S

The Canadian Ambassador, Mr. Wrong, telephoned the Secretary this afternoon to say that Mr. Pearson was planning a trip to Washington over the Easter weekend, arriving on Good Friday and leaving for Princeton the following Tuesday.

The Ambassador said he had received a telephone call from Arnold Heeney inquiring whether it might not be helpful if during his stay here Mr. Pearson could have a talk with the President on the St. Lawrence Waterway Project. In this connection, the Secretary said he would make inquiry of the President on Monday when he saw him and let him (the Ambassador) know the answer.
