MEMORANDUM FOR S/S
Mr. Eric Johnston called on the Secretary today and informed him that in his opinion only personal representation by Ambassador Dunn will have a favorable result in getting the French to increase their quota on American films. (The Secretary understood that the Americans want to export at least 120 films to France and the French have countered with a considerable smaller figure.)
Can we have a recommendation regarding any further action on this matter by Ambassador Dunn.
