MEMORANDUM OF CONVERSATION
Participants: Mr. Selwyn Lloyd; Secretary Acheson
Mr. Lloyd said that he would like to see me in the next few days, and before Eden's arrival. He said that he had an idea about the Anzus situation which, he thought, might save face on all sides. He would like to discuss it with me.
I said that I would be glad to discuss it with him and that I also wished to talk with him about the recent talks on Iran, which I thought had been useful, in that I felt that the British were now addressing themselves to the problem in a realistic way for the first time.
