Dear Sweethearts:
Today is fine and cool and a beautiful day, but for all that it's a dull one - there was no letter. I got the swimming suit by air and I am very glad you sent it. We have swimming parties every afternoon and while the pool is cold as the mischief it's very good for us. I'm as healthy as a farmhand.
Say, if you want your hair bobbed so badly, go on and get it done. I want you to be happy regardless of what I think about it. I am very sure you'll be just as beautiful with it off and I'll not say anything to make you sorry for doing it. I can still see you as the finest on earth so go and have it done. I've never been right sure you weren't kidding me anyway. You usually do as you like about things and that's what I want you to do.
I hope that you and the baby are both well and not entirely roasted. We've never been uncomfortably hot although yesterday was a stinger. Be sure and let me hear from you. The days are awful dull without the letters. I doubt if I'm to come home Friday or not. If I can't, I can't that's all. We had a fine ride this A.M. and we're going to pistol practice shortly.
Lots of love to you and kiss my baby, Harry
