Description
This is the way the natives do their washing winter and summer. They beat the dirt out of the clothes with flat rocks and do not use a rubbing board at all. This photograph was apparently taken in France. From an album of Lorain H. Cunningham, who served in the 129th Field Artillery during World War I and was a friend of Harry S. Truman.
