Description
Approach to the "Valley of Death" near Fort Duamont about five miles east of Verdun. This was one of the strong points flanking and protecting Verdun. From an album of Lorain H. Cunningham, who served in the 129th Field Artillery and was a friend of Harry S. Truman.
