John Brannon, a defense attorney for Japanese war criminals sits with Sogi, right, and Okuyama, a lawyer, to his left. Original caption handwritten on the back: "The host Sogi, very wealthy, is to my right, Okuyama, lawyer, to my left. Now don't blame me - remember in school they taught "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."
