President Harry S. Truman (left) unveils the Franklin Delano Roosevelt plaque at Georgetown University Hospital. The commemorative gift of $55,000 was given by the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) to equip the Children's wing of the Hospital's new building. Also pictured in foreground from left to right: Elliott Roosevelt, Philip Murray of the CIO, and the most Reverend Amleto Giovanni Cicognani, Apostolic Delegate to the U.S. See also photo 59-1454.
