Truman (third from left) in the Oval Office in the White House is shown receiving from Postmaster General Jesse Donaldson (second from left) a sheet of the new Freedom Stamps, issued in honor of the Sesquicentennial of Washington, D.C. Carter T. Barron is on the other side next to President Truman and Joseph C. McGarraghy is standing next to him (3rd from the right). Assistant Postmaster General Joseph J. Lawler is on the far left. Others are unidentified.
