House Speaker Joseph W. Martin, Jr., (R), MA, signs the four-billion-dollar-tax reduction bill which was adopted by the Senate with a 48-28 final passage vote. After being signed by Speaker Martin and Senate President Vandenberg, the bill was scheduled to go to the White House for signing. From: Beth Gore
