Sixty-Five of the 153 living veterans of Battery "D", 129th F.A., 35th Division, met at Hotel Jefferson, St. Louis, Missouri, for a reunion breakfast. At the dinner table, left to right, are: Fred L. Schmidt, Secretary of the Battery organization; Eugene P. Donnelly, Kansas City attorney who was a corporal, and President Harry S. Truman. Former President Truman poses for a bronze bust

Sculptor Rene Shapshak (left) works on a clay model for a bronze bust of former President Harry S. Truman as the former President poses in his office in the Federal Reserve Bank Building, Kansas City, Missouri. The sculpture will be placed in the Hall of Fame at the Ben Yehuda National Museum in Jerusalem, Israel. It will be unveiled in Israel on Truman's 73rd birthday.
