President Harry S. Truman addresses a crowd of 12,000 jamming Roosevelt Plaza, in Camden, New Jersey. He continued his whistlestop tour of New Jersey and Pennsylvania on behalf of Democratic Presidential nominee Adlai Stevenson. President Harry S. Truman and First Lady Bess Truman are in a car returning from a whistlestop tour of four east-central states. They are outside Union Station in Washington, D. C. They were met by about 2,000 people. The President said: "I'm always happy to go to a party, particularly when it's for me."
