This lesson will be a cooperative activity between a pair or group of students that will incorporate primary sources and a writing activity.

This lesson is designed for a high school level United States History Class but can be modified for a middle level classroom as well. This lesson combines partner/group work with an individual assignment. The students will be examining both primary and secondary sources in this lesson.

The students will analyze primary sources, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They will apply this information to historical circumstances of human rights violations in a written piece.
