A group of sailors receive instruction from an unidentified officer about a diesel engine in order to be able to make emergency repairs. The class is being conducted at New London, Connecticut, where Admiral Lewis Parks was stationed in 1946. The photograph is included in Lewis Parks' photo album entitled "Submarine Pictures W. War II."
