Truman addressing Congress

President Harry S. Truman as he addressed the Joint Session of the Special Session of the 80th Congress. This is the session that he stated he would call during his speech at the Democratic National Convention. Seated behind President Truman are Senator Arthur H. Margaret Truman after Performance at Constitution Hall

Margaret Truman, daughter of the Chief Executive, finished her present concert tour this evening with a final concert at Constitution Hall in Washington. She sang before an audience of almost 4,000 persons, among whom were top administration and diplomatic corps members.
