These pictures were furnished to our Brigade Commander and he assigned parts of the front to each Regimental Commander. Our part was just to the left of the little town shown in the lower part of the picture. The long white ribbon like streak is a rock road. The trenches marked (a) can be easily seen. The shadow like mark (b) in front of the trenches is the barb wire entanglement. A machine pit (c) has been shelled.
