Clothing Store Sale - Korean War Home Movies
Home movies shot by Lieutenant Daniel Karp during his service in the Air Force in the Korean War. Karp was mainly stationed in Japan, where he ran clothing and shoe stores at Ashiya Air Base. This film shows the operation of the store, a sale at the store, the AMC Clothing Manual #67-5, and the PX. It starts by showing pages from the manual, then follows a soldier as he walks around the base and into the clothing store. Store workers (both Japanese civilians and American soldiers) help the man find the clothes he needs, he tries them on and they check the fit.
