Truman Awaiting the Arrival of President Prio Socarras

President Truman escorts Her Majesty Queen Juliana of the Netherlands from a KLM plane after she arrived at National Airport for a state visit from April 2 to April 21, 1952. President Harry S. Truman shakes hands with Princess Elizabeth of England after being introduced by John F. Simmons (center), Chief of Protocol, U.S. Department of State. Princess Elizabeth had just arrived at the National Airport in Washington, D.C., for a three-day visit to the United States. (See also album 72-691 through 72-726.)
