Joe DiMaggio and "Doc" Marcus are Guests in the Fort Lewis Officers' Mess

Former New York Yankee baseball player Joe DiMaggio and jazz musician "Doc" Marcus are guests of Major General Louis W. Truman at a dinner in the Fort Lewis, Washington officer's mess. DiMaggio is seated second from the end on the left hand side of the table. Major General Truman seated to the left of Joe DiMaggio. DiMaggio and Marcus were making a tour as representatives of the V.H. Monette Company, which supplied merchandise to United States military exchanges around the world. All others in photo are unidentified.

Saluting the Colors
