At the Truman Library in Independence, Missouri, former President Harry S. Truman clasps hands with an unidentified man and an unidentified Air Force officer. The occasion is the presentation of a plaque from the U.S. Air Force Academy to the former President which reads: "In grateful recognition of his consistent efforts to persuade the nation's youth to public service."
