At the Harry S. Truman Library in Independence, Missouri, former President Harry S. Truman (center) holds a plaque from the U.S. Air Force Academy presented to him by an unidentified man. On Mr. Truman's left is Air Force Reserve Colonel John A. Riffle. The plaque reads: "In grateful recognition of his consistent efforts to persuade the nation's youth to public service."
