Truman Signs the Fair Labor Standards Act Amendments

President Harry S. Truman signs the Fair Labor Standards Act, raising minimum wages to seventy-five cents an hour, with labor and government officials on hand for the ceremony in the White House. Truman with international affairs advisors

Truman today decided that the European Recovery Program must be continued vigorously on a large scale to bolster Western European democracies against Communism.
