Funeral of Former President Harry S. Truman at the Truman Library

The burial service of former President Harry S. Truman takes place in the courtyard of the Truman Presidential Library. Father John H. Lembcke, Jr. presides as officiating minister. Bess W. Truman and Margaret Truman Daniel are seated near the head of the casket. An unidentified man is presenting the folded United States flag that lay on Mr. Truman's casket to Mrs. Truman. All others are unidentified.

Coming up the stairs first is Margaret Truman Daniel, followed by her husband, E. Clifton Daniel, and two sons, Thomas Daniel (left) and Harrison Daniel (left). Behind Mr. Daniel are his two oldest sons, Clifton T. Daniel (left) and William W. Daniel (right). All others are unidentified.
