United States Housing Expeditor Tighe E. Woods today told the House Banking Committee that the need to expand rent control stems from the nations new defense effort. He urged the committee to support a 24 month continuation of controls. The administration wants a stronger law, with authority to bring back under control areas that have previously freed.
