The newest grandchild remained at Walter Reed Hospital where she was born. This was the Eisenhower's first Christmas in the White House and they posed in front of the Christmas tree in the East Ballroom.

Truman Funeral at the Truman Library

Members of the Daniel family are escorted into the Truman Library to receive guests attending the viewing of former President Harry S. Truman prior to his funeral. Coming up the stairs first is Margaret Truman Daniel, followed by her husband, E. Clifton Daniel, and two sons, Thomas Daniel (left) and Harrison Daniel (left). Behind Mr. Daniel are his two oldest sons, Clifton T. Daniel (left) and William W. Daniel (right). All others are unidentified.
