Inauguration Day

Inaugural parade float representing Oklahoma featuring a horse drawn carriage, cityscape, and men and women dressed in cowboy style and traditional Native American clothing greeting parade attendees. All are unidentified. The United States Capitol Building can be seen in the far distance.

Inaugural parade float representing Missouri featuring eight live horses pulling the float, a map of the state, the White House, American flags, and an eagle. Sign at the top of the float printed with wording "Our Greatest Missourian/Harry S. Truman." People standing on float are unidentified. The Lamar, Missouri float can be seen following behind the Missouri float, as well as various people on horseback.

Inaugural parade float representing Massachusetts featuring a ship, Plymouth Rock, and re-enactors dressed as early colonists. All are unidentified.

Inaugural parade float representing the Niagara Frontier featuring Niagara Falls and other natural and man-made resources which support and/or are produced by the area.

Inaugural parade float representing George Washington University featuring re-enactors displaying areas of study at the university including law, medicine, government, and engineering. Text at the bottom of the float is: "The George Washington University Educates for Leadership."

Inaugural parade float representing Texas featuring symbols of the state including a star, oil rig, bull, and men and women dressed up in cowboy attire. All are unidentified. Following behind them is a marching band.

Inaugural parade float representing the Truman-Barkley Club featuring a ballot box and scenes from Washington, D.C., including the Washington Monument and the White House. The ballot box has "Freedom to Vote" printed on the side. Soldiers and a band can be seen marching behind the float.

Inaugural parade float representing B'nai B'rith featuring a menorah. A banner along the bottom of the float has text "From Tyler to Truman" with a portrait of President John Tyler on the left and a portrait of President Truman on the right. A band can be seen marching behind the float.

Inaugural parade float representing the International Association of Lions Clubs featuring a statue of a lion and globe, and imagery related to the organization's blood donor program. Four unidentified women wearing what appear to be Red Cross uniforms are also on the float.
