W. Averell Harriman Touring Hydroelectric Plant During 1959 Trip to the Soviet Union

He is believed to be at a hydroelectric plant located near Stalingrad. Thayer indicates in his account of the trip that "the Harriman party visited the Stalingrad hydroelectric plant which is about three quarters of an hour's drive from Stalingrad..." Charles W. Thayer accompanied Harriman as a guide and confidant on the trip which took place May 12 - June 26, 1959.
