Clifton Daniel, Jr. which he used in his book, "Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen: A Memoir." Original caption: The picture is of King Abdullah of Jordan (left), grandfather of King Hussein, talking with Palestinian lawyer Nassib Boulos on the terrace of the King's winter palace. King Abdullah is wearing a white Turkish robe and blue serge trousers.

King George VI of England precedes President Harry S. Truman up the steps on the USS Augusta as it sits off Plymouth, England. He is visiting the President before Mr. Truman's return to the United States after attending the Potsdam Conference. Others are unidentified.

King Peter II was living in exile in London in 1944 while his country was occupied by the Germans, and Tito was in the process of seizing it. The King, then 21, was photographed with the journalist at a meeting of the Anglo-American Press Association. The two men in the background are unidentified.
