Chaplain Kirtley was leaving for service in Korea and was being recognized for development of a spiritual program that aroused great enthusiasm on the post.

After his 4th Infantry Division won top praise in "Exercise Dragon Head" maneuvers in North Carolina, Major General Louis W.
