President Harry S. Truman's remarks at a luncheon with members of the National Symphony Orchestra. The President spoke at 1:30 p.m. at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. His opening words referred to Gordon S. Reid, president of the Symphony Board Association and chairman of the luncheon, Laura Thompson Magnuson, president of the Women's Committee of the National Symphony Orchestra, and Bess Truman.
