Members of Battery "D" arrive by train in Washington, D.C., for 1949 inaugural
Members of Battery "D," 129th Field Artillery, 35th Division, President Harry S. Truman's outfit in World War I, arrived with their families by train at Union Station in Washington, D.C., from Kansas City, Missouri, for the inauguration ceremonies. Each held a cane which he waved in high spirits. (See 68-1939.)
