The President later appeared with Governor of Massachusetts Paul A. Dever for a political rally. From: Peter B. The press are shown surrounding the President with members of his staff behind him including, John Steelman in light blue shirt beside military person, Joseph Feeney, just behind the President with cigarette in hand, William D. Hassett, next to Feeney, Joseph Short, next to Hassett, and Robert Dennison next to Short. From: HST estate 12/3/1974; transferred from Museum Collection 5/28/1975.

Computer photo in color of President Harry S. Truman (center in blue suit) greeting General Douglas MacArthur (next to Truman) on Wake Island when they met there on Oct. 15, 1950. The other people are unidentified, although the donor stated that Secretary of the Army Frank Pace and General Omar Bradley are in the picture. The picture was taken by Edward E. Swofford who was Station Operations Manager at Wake Island for Pan American World Airways at that time. The photo was copied from a slide that had not been stored adequately and had deteriorated from the humid salt air.
