President Harry S. Truman acts as coach while leading the Truman Athletic Club members in calisthenics on the deck of the U.S.S. Missouri. Newsmen accompanying President Truman on his trip from Brazil formed the club and presented Truman with the t-shirt.

Computer photo in color of President Harry S. Truman (center in blue suit) greeting General Douglas MacArthur (next to Truman) on Wake Island when they met there on Oct. 15, 1950. The other people are unidentified, although the donor stated that Secretary of the Army Frank Pace and General Omar Bradley are in the picture. The picture was taken by Edward E. Swofford who was Station Operations Manager at Wake Island for Pan American World Airways at that time. The photo was copied from a slide that had not been stored adequately and had deteriorated from the humid salt air.
