Sixty-Five of the 153 living veterans of Battery "D", 129th F.A., 35th Division, met at Hotel Jefferson, St. Louis, Missouri, for a reunion breakfast. At the dinner table, left to right, are: Fred L. Schmidt, Secretary of the Battery organization; Eugene P. Donnelly, Kansas City attorney who was a corporal, and President Harry S. Truman. President Harry S. Truman waves to the crowd lining a street in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, as he rides in an open-top limousine in a parade of 35th Division veterans meeting for an annual reunion at the Hotel President. Mr. Truman's brother, J. Vivian Truman, is on Truman's left in the back seat of the car. Others are unidentified. (See 2005-280.)
