Wrecked Industrial Housing, Harbin, Manchuria; U.S. Reparations Mission

Harbin, Manchuria; destroyed housing units. Housing units destroyed by Chinese looters. This type of housing, mostly for industrial workers, existed in all the industrial cities of Manchuria. After initial looting by Soviet troops and Chinese, the wood was removed for fuel. Photograph taken during the U.S. Reparations Mission.
