A German tank unit halted in a village during the Corridor Operation. In the background at the upper right appears a heavy German armored car of the 8-wheel type. This armored car is armed with a 20-mm machine gun and one of standard caliber.

Hannegan on the occasion of his visit to General Headquarters, U. S. Army Forces, Pacific in Tokyo, Japan, 1946. This photo was the basis of the three-cent stamp (see photograph 98-2518).
